Here at Homepride, we are proud to support Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on 28th September!

By buying our special edition packs, you will help us to raise £75,000 for Macmillan to continue their amazing work for those living with cancer and their families.

Our beautifully smooth flour is pre-sieved and made from 100% British wheat so will help to ensure your baking is perfect to raise as much dough for Macmillan as possible; allowing them to fund Macmillan specialists like nurses and therapists.

WIN a Fred painting by Mark Mason

Fred has been the face of Homepride since his introduction in 1964. We’re celebrating his 60th year by teaming up with artist Mark Mason from Forge Cottage Art Club.

Mark is a fine-art artist and tutor and runs classes for adults and children, as well as visiting schools. He has a number of characters that often appear in his paintings, including Homepride’s Fred.

To celebrate our love of Fred, we have a total of 25 prizes up for grabs, including:

A hand signed canvas print of ‘Fred a Celebration’ (No.1 of 60)
4 hand signed limited edition prints of Fred
10 sets of limited-edition Homepride flour tins
10 Homepride collectable baking bundles

JOINTHE CELEBRATION OF 60 YEARS SINCE THE BIRTH OF FRED

Fred, Homepride’s bowler-hat-wearing Chief Flour Grader, is turning sixty. He is loved by generations of bakers and will be celebrated with a range of fun activities that will draw on the nostalgia of this iconic character. He will also be making the odd appearance himself!

We’re delighted to share our celebrations with the artist Mark Mason who has fond memories of playing with a plastic Fred figure when he was a child – almost like a giant Lego® man. It was only a matter of time before he put his love of art and Fred together.

Mark refers to his paintings as ‘retro surrealism’: sometimes surreal but always telling a story. They are fun, different and - you could say - quirky! He has a number of characters who appear in his paintings including Ole Salty, the sou’wester wearing seagull, a magpie who is a pirate, Harold, a bowler-hatted 1960’s styled Pigeon and, of course, our very own Fred.
